Drill pipe, casing, BHA, tools and rig equipment, inspected on location anywhere in the Permian Basin.

EMI drill pipe inspection

EMI finds what the eye can’t: cracks, pitting and wall loss inside the tube body. Every joint is scanned full length, then classified and marked so you know exactly what’s ready to run.

  • Full-length electromagnetic scan of each tube
  • Detects cracks, pits, cuts and wall loss
  • Visual and OD checks of tubes and tool joints
  • Every joint classified and marked

Clean & drift: casing and drill collars

We clean casing and drill collars inside and out, run a drift through every joint to confirm the bore is clear, and check the threads before the protectors go back on.

  • Pressure washing, inside and out
  • Full-length drift run on every joint
  • Thread cleaning and visual inspection
  • Threads doped and protectors reinstalled

Hevi-Wate & BHA

Heavyweight drill pipe and BHA components take the hardest beating in the string. We inspect tubes, upsets and connections so problems come out before they go back in the hole.

  • Hevi-Wate (heavyweight drill pipe)
  • Drill collars and other BHA components
  • Connection and shoulder inspection
  • Wear, damage and cracks marked for repair

Tools, subs & trip inspections

We inspect subs, crossovers and downhole tools at the yard, and send crews to the rig to inspect the string as it comes out of the hole, so you can trip back in with confidence.

  • Subs, crossovers and downhole tools
  • Trip inspections on the rig floor
  • Connections checked as the string comes out
  • Bad joints and tools pulled and tagged on the spot

MPI on equipment

Magnetic particle inspection (MPI) reveals surface and near-surface cracks that can’t be seen by eye. We use it on the handling tools and rig equipment your crew counts on every day.

  • Elevators, links, slips and tongs
  • Lifting equipment and rig components
  • Surface and near-surface crack detection
  • Results documented and tools tagged

Catch it on the rack

A cut, crack or pit is cheap to find on the surface and expensive to find downhole.

A careful inspection pulls bad joints and worn tools before they cost you a trip, a fishing job, or worse. Not sure what needs inspecting? Call and we’ll talk it through.
